all material was recorded live at eleven concerts in june 2023 and arranged into three lengthy sections. what you will hear is a collage derived from these performances, reflecting the varied acoustics of different concert venues. the recording quality also varies, ranging from detailed miking to simple smartphone recordings. the compositional editing process deliberately highligths these contrasts - switching between concerts based on musical criteria of contrast and analogy - rather than smoothing them out.
